Floodwater release bulletin

At 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 15:

  • Grand Lake elevation was 747.08 feet.
  • Grand Lake flood pool was at 18.66 percent capacity.
  • Six (6) units were online at the Pensacola Dam powerhouse, releasing 13,314 cfs of water through generation.
  • No floodgates were open at Pensacola Dam.
  • Releases through floodgates and generation totaled 13,314 cfs.
  • Inflows into Grand Lake totaled 8,811 cfs.
  • Lake Hudson elevation was 625.40 feet.
  • Lake Hudson flood pool was at 31.73 percent capacity.
  • Three (3) units were online at Robert S. Kerr Dam powerhouse releasing 22,140 cfs of water through generation.
  • No floodgates were open at Robert S. Kerr Dam
  • Releases through floodgates and generation totaled 22,140 cfs.
  • Inflows into Lake Hudson totaled 15,832 cfs.

In the event of flooding conditions, the United States Army Corps of Engineers often issues crest predictions for GRDA's Grand Lake and Lake Hudson. When those are issued, they will be included in this bulletin. Currently, the Corps has no future crest predictions issued.
