Floodwater Release Bulletin

At 11 AM on Saturday, May 4:

  • Grand Lake elevation was 746.45 feet.
  • At the direction of the United States Army Corps of Engineers, two (2) main spillway gates were open at Pensacola Dam, discharging 18,084 cubic feet per second (cfs) of water.
  • Six (6) units were online at the Pensacola Dam powerhouse, releasing 13,447 cfs of water through generation.
  • Releases through floodgates and generation totaled 31,531 cfs.
  • Inflows into Grand Lake totaled 26,997 cfs.
  • Lake Hudson elevation was 622.01 feet.
  • No floodgates were open at Robert S. Kerr Dam
  • Four (4) units were online at the Robert S. Kerr Dam powerhouse, releasing 31,320 cfs of water through generation.
  • Inflows into Lake Hudson totaled 32,773 cfs.

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the Authority for its annual comprehensive financial reports for twenty-one consecutive years. In order to be awarded a Certificate of Achievement, a governmental agency must publish an easily readable and efficiently organized annual comprehensive financial report. This report must satisfy both generally accepted accounting principles and applicable Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) legal requirements.
