Floodwater Release Bulletin

At 2 PM on Saturday, May 4:

  • Grand Lake elevation was 746.51 feet.
  • At the direction of the United States Army Corps of Engineers, one (1) main spillway gate was open at Pensacola Dam, discharging 727 cubic feet per second (cfs) of water.
  • Six (6) units were online at the Pensacola Dam powerhouse, releasing 13,560 cfs of water through generation.
  • Releases through floodgates and generation totaled 14,287 cfs.
  • Inflows into Grand Lake totaled 24,039 cfs.
  • Lake Hudson elevation was 622.27 feet.
  • No floodgates were open at Robert S. Kerr Dam
  • Four (4) units were online at the Robert S. Kerr Dam powerhouse, releasing 32,400 cfs of water through generation.
  • Inflows into Lake Hudson totaled 15,463 cfs.

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the Authority for its annual comprehensive financial reports for twenty-one consecutive years. In order to be awarded a Certificate of Achievement, a governmental agency must publish an easily readable and efficiently organized annual comprehensive financial report. This report must satisfy both generally accepted accounting principles and applicable Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) legal requirements. A Certificate of Achievement is valid for a period of one year only.
