Floodwater Release Bulletin

At 1 PM on Saturday, May 11:

  • Grand Lake elevation was 746.36 feet.
  • At the direction of the United States Army Corps of Engineers, two (2) main spillway gates were open at Pensacola Dam, discharging 18,100 cubic feet per second (cfs) of water.
  • Six (6) units were online at the Pensacola Dam powerhouse, releasing 13,447 cfs of water through generation.
  • Releases through floodgates and generation totaled 31,547 cfs.
  • Inflows into Grand Lake totaled 13,226 cfs.
  • Lake Hudson elevation was 620.02 feet.
  • No floodgates were open at Robert S. Kerr Dam
  • Four (4) units were online at the Robert S. Kerr Dam powerhouse, releasing 29,160 cfs of water through generation.
  • Inflows into Lake Hudson totaled 33,092 cfs.

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the Authority for its annual comprehensive financial reports for twenty-one consecutive years. In order to be awarded a Certificate of Achievement, a governmental agency must publish an easily readable and efficiently organized annual comprehensive financial report. This report must satisfy both generally accepted accounting principles and applicable Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) legal requirements. A Certificate of Achievement is valid for a period of one year only.
