Grand River Dam Authority News Release
For immediate release: 08/29/19
At 11:30 AM on Thursday, August 29:
• Grand Lake elevation was 746.40 feet. Daily target elevation for August 29 is 743 feet.
• At the direction of the United States Army Corps of Engineers, five (5) east spillway gates were open at Pensacola Dam, discharging 9,384 cubic feet per second (cfs) of water.
• Six (6) units were online at the Pensacola Dam powerhouse, releasing 12,529 cfs of water through generation.
• Releases through floodgates and generation totaled 21,913 cfs.
• Inflows into Grand Lake totaled 6,853 cfs.
• Lake Hudson elevation was 623.45 feet. Normal elevation is 619 feet.
• At the direction of the United States Army Corps of Engineers, one (1) gate was open at Robert S. Kerr Dam, discharging 262 cubic feet per second (cfs) of water.
• Four (4) units were online at the Robert S. Kerr Dam powerhouse, releasing 34,290 cfs of water through generation.
• Releases through floodgates and generation totaled 34,552 cfs.
• Inflows into Lake Hudson totaled 22,789 cfs.
