Grand River Dam Authority News Release
For immediate release: 8/30/19

At 3 PM on Friday, August 30:

• Grand Lake elevation was 745.75 feet. Daily target elevation for August 30 is 743 feet.
• At the direction of the United States Army Corps of Engineers, one (1) east spillway gate was open at Pensacola Dam, discharging 227 cubic feet per second (cfs) of water.
• Six (6) units were online at the Pensacola Dam powerhouse, releasing 12,344 cfs of water through generation.
• Releases through floodgates and generation totaled 12,571 cfs.
• Inflows into Grand Lake totaled 8,345 cfs.

• Lake Hudson elevation was 623.28 feet. Normal elevation is 619 feet.
• At the direction of the United States Army Corps of Engineers, one (1) gate was open at Robert S. Kerr Dam, discharging 261 cubic feet per second (cfs) of water.
• Four (4) units were online at the Robert S. Kerr Dam powerhouse, releasing 34,290 cfs of water through generation.
• Releases through floodgates and generation totaled 34,551 cfs.
• Inflows into Lake Hudson totaled 15,464 cfs.

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the Authority for its annual comprehensive financial reports for twenty-one consecutive years. In order to be awarded a Certificate of Achievement, a governmental agency must publish an easily readable and efficiently organized annual comprehensive financial report. This report must satisfy both generally accepted accounting principles and applicable Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) legal requirements. A Certificate of Achievement is valid for a period of one year only.
