Grand River Dam Authority News Release
For immediate release: 08/16/19
At Noon on Friday, August 16:
• Grand Lake elevation was 745.42 feet. Daily target elevation for August 12 is 743 feet.
• At the direction of the United States Army Corps of Engineers, one (1) main spillway gate was open at Pensacola Dam, discharging 105 cubic feet per second (cfs) of water.
• Six (6) units were online at the Pensacola Dam powerhouse, releasing 12,608 cfs of water through generation.
• Releases through floodgates and generation totaled 12,713 cfs.
• Inflows into Grand Lake totaled 5,767 cfs.
• Lake Hudson elevation was 622.7 feet. Normal elevation is 619 feet.
• At the direction of the United States Army Corps of Engineers, one (1) gate was open at Robert S. Kerr Dam, discharging 256 cubic feet per second (cfs) of water.
• Four (4) units were online at the Robert S. Kerr Dam powerhouse, releasing 33,750 cfs of water through generation.
• Releases through floodgates and generation totaled 34,006 cfs.
• Inflows into Lake Hudson totaled 13,016 cfs.
