GRDA News Release: Floodwater Release Bulletin May 23 3 PM

Grand River Dam Authority News Release
For immediate release: 05/23/19

At 3PM on Thursday, May 23:
• Grand Lake elevation was 754.86 feet. Daily target elevation for May 23 is 743.47 feet.
• At the direction of the United States Army Corps of Engineers, nine (9) main and three (3) east spillway gates were open at Pensacola Dam, discharging 161,615 cubic feet per second (cfs) of water.
• Six (6) units were online at the Pensacola Dam powerhouse, releasing 13,318 cfs of water through generation.
• Releases through floodgates and generation totaled 174,933 cfs.
• Inflows into Grand Lake totaled 190,744 cfs.

• Lake Hudson elevation was 635.83 feet. Normal elevation is 619 feet.
• At the direction of the United States Army Corps of Engineers, nine (9) gates were open at Robert S. Kerr Dam, discharging 190,104 cubic feet per second (cfs) of water.
• Four (4) units were online at the Robert S. Kerr Dam powerhouse, releasing 24,030 cfs of water through generation.
• Releases through floodgates and generation totaled 214,134 cfs.
• Inflows into Lake Hudson totaled 196,002 cfs.
