Pryor Municipal Utility Board (MUB) General Manager Jared Crisp is the newest member of the GRDA Board of Director. Crisp began his service on the board at its February 12 meeting in Chouteau.
Pryor’s Jared Crisp, general manager of the Pryor Municipal Utility Board (MUB) has joined the Grand River Dam Authority Board of Directors as the representative for the Municipal Electric Systems of Oklahoma (MESO). He officially joined the board at its February 12 meeting in Chouteau and replaces outgoing board member Dwayne Elam.
Crisp was named general manager of Pryor MUB in January 2019, after serving the previous four years as assistant general manager. In his current role he oversees the operations of MUB’s multi-faceted utility operations including electricity, water, wastewater, and natural gas. Pryor MUB has been a GRDA wholesale electricity customer and public power partner since 1951.
Crisp also serves as president-elect of MESO and as chairman of the Oklahoma Municipal Services Association (OMUSA). A graduate of Pryor High School, Crisp holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Oklahoma State University and has been a licensed professional engineer since 2011.
“Director Crisp’s knowledge of municipal utility operations and the electricity industry will be a great benefit to GRDA and its customers,” said GRDA President/Chief Executive Officer Dan Sullivan. “I look forward to the contributions he will make to our board.”
GRDA is governed by a seven-member board of directors, comprised of representatives from each GRDA customer class – municipals, electric cooperatives, and industrials – as well as the GRDA lakes area. Two at-large representatives also sit on the board. Appointments are made by the Oklahoma governor, speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives, and president pro tempore of the Oklahoma State Senate. Two board positions are ex-officio, filled by the general manager of the Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives and the executive director of MESO, or their designees.
